Light, color and change are recurring elements in the work of Susanne Bruynzeel. With materials such as paper, foils and paint, she creates compositions and marks the exhibition space. By emphasizing the context in which we look at art, she draws the attention to the context of looking itself. What are the conditions for seeing, the visual and mental expectations when we are looking? Susanne Bruynzeel places elements we tend to push out of view back in the middle of our consciousness and makes them the center of her work.

The work of Rumiko Hagiwara consists of tiny changes in a physical space. It is based on the notion that spaces contain memories and time as a result of human action and behaviour. These memories can easily be ignored as our attention is distracted by elements that occupy our daily lifes. Rumiko Hagiwara points the attention to this phenomenon by suggesting the viewer to notice and rediscover trivial things. The work consists of installations, videos and photos.
